# Fastwater

> Fastwater is private cloud storage for videos, and a Put.io alternative. A
> user pastes a magnet link or adds a .torrent file; Fastwater's servers
> download it into the user's private files, and the user watches it in the
> browser or in Fastwater's TV apps, with resume, subtitles, and up next.
> Torrents other members already added are cached and complete at once.
> Fastwater does not search for torrents; the user supplies the link.

## Plans

Prices are in US dollars and billed monthly through Stripe. Cancel any time
from the account page. A refund of the first charge is given in full when
asked within 7 days.

- Lite: $6.99 a month. 200 GB of storage, each file kept 30 days, 3 downloads at once, 2 screens playing at once, no WebDAV or Stremio add-on.
- Standard: $9.99 a month. 1 TB of storage, files kept until you delete them, 10 downloads at once, 4 screens playing at once, WebDAV and the Stremio add-on.
- Pro: $19.99 a month. 2 TB of storage, files kept until you delete them, 20 downloads at once, 8 screens playing at once, WebDAV and the Stremio add-on, shared by up to 6 people, each with their own account.
- Free trial: 3 days of Standard for every new account, with 200 GB of storage until the first payment. A card is needed to start; Fastwater emails a day before the first charge.

There is no monthly download or streaming cap. Videos play at their original
quality: Fastwater repackages them as MP4 without re-encoding.

## Devices

- Web: any modern browser, including Safari on iPhone and iPad and TV browsers.
- Fastwater TV apps, included in every plan: Apple TV (tvOS 17 or later),
  Google TV and Android TV (Android 7.1 or later), Fire TV (Fire OS 6 or
  later), LG (webOS 3 or later), and Samsung (Tizen). A Roku app is in testing.
- Other apps (Standard and Pro): Infuse, Kodi, VLC, Finder, and Windows File
  Explorer over WebDAV; Plex and Jellyfin through an rclone mount; Stremio
  through the Fastwater add-on.
- AI assistants: ChatGPT and Claude through the MCP server, on every plan.

## API

The REST API is at `https://fastwater.app/v1` and takes a bearer token: an API key
(created on the Account page), an OAuth access token, or a dashboard session.
Errors are `{ "error": { "code", "message", "requestId" } }`.

AI assistants connect to the MCP server at `https://fastwater.app/mcp` (Streamable HTTP,
OAuth through Clerk with dynamic client registration, or an API key as the
bearer token).
