    Do I need Plex, Infuse, or any other app?
    No. Fastwater plays videos in any modern browser, on a laptop, iPad, phone, or TV. On Standard and Pro, you can also connect an app you already use, such as Infuse, Plex, Kodi, or VLC.
    How much does Fastwater cost?
    Lite is $6.99 a month for 200 GB, with each file kept 30 days. Standard is $9.99 a month for 1 TB. Pro is $19.99 a month for 2 TB, shared by up to 6 people. Every account starts with a 3-day free trial of Standard, with 200 GB of storage until the first payment. The TV apps are included in every plan.
    Which devices and TVs does it work on?
    Any modern browser on a computer, iPad, phone, or TV. Fastwater has its own apps for Apple TV, Google TV, Android TV, Fire TV, LG, and Samsung TVs; a Roku app is in testing. On Standard and Pro it also works with Infuse, Plex, Jellyfin, Kodi, VLC, and Stremio. See the TV apps.
    Is there a download or bandwidth limit?
    No. There is no monthly traffic cap, and you can stream and download as much as you like. Each plan limits its storage and how many downloads run at once (3 on Lite, 10 on Standard, 20 on Pro); a file another member already saved is ready at once and doesn't count.
    How is this different from Put.io?
    It works the same way: paste a magnet link or add a .torrent file, and watch from your private cloud.     What is a magnet link?
    A magnet link is a short link to a file that people share with BitTorrent. Many sites that offer public-domain films, open-source software, and Creative Commons videos give you one. Paste it into Fastwater, and we fetch the file for you. A .torrent file works the same way.
    Does my computer have to stay on?
    No. Our servers do the downloading. You can close the tab, shut your laptop, and come back later.
    Will it play on my iPad or TV?
    Usually, yes. When a video arrives, we repackage it in a format that Safari, iPads, and most TV browsers can play, without lowering the quality. If a file still won't play, you can download it or open it in another app.
    How long do my files stay?
    On Standard and Pro, files stay until you delete them. Lite keeps each file for 30 days after you add it, which suits watching something once.
    How many devices can play at once?
    Lite on 2, Standard on 4, and Pro on 8. Stop a video on one device to start one on another.
    Can my family share it?
    Yes, on Pro. Up to 6 people each get their own account, with their own files, watch progress, and devices, and nobody sees anyone else's files. You pay for the plan and invite them from your account page. Everyone shares its 2 TB and its screens.
    Can I change plans later?
    Yes. Upgrade at any time and get the extra room right away. Downgrade from your account, and the change starts with your next billing period, as long as your files fit in the smaller plan.
    What happens after the free trial?
    Every trial starts on Standard, so you can try everything. Before the first charge, 3 days after you sign up, pick the plan you want. We email you a day before. Cancel in one click from your account.
    Can I get a refund?
    Yes. If you forget to cancel, or Fastwater isn't for you, email support@fastwater.app within 7 days of your first charge, and we refund it in full.
    What can I save?
    Only files you have the right to download, such as public-domain films, open-source software, and your own videos. We remove content when we get a valid DMCA notice.
