What the app will do

  • Your movies and shows with posters, and every episode in order
  • Your files and folders, as in the dashboard
  • Picks up where you stopped on any other screen
  • Subtitles, and up next for the following episode
  • Search across your library
  • Videos at their original quality, not converted down

Watch on it today

  • Plex or Jellyfin: Mount your Fastwater files with rclone on the computer that runs your media server, and its TV app plays them. Standard and Pro.
  • Another TV app: If the same TV has an Apple TV, a Google TV, or a Fire TV Stick plugged in, or is an LG or Samsung TV, use Fastwater's own app there.

Good to know on Roku

  • The Roku app will look and work like our other TV apps: your library, resume, subtitles, and up next.
  • Rokus that can't decode HEVC get an H.264 copy, made the first time you play the video there.

Questions

Is there a Put.io alternative with a Roku app?
Fastwater's Roku app is in testing and will be in the Roku Channel Store, with no sideloading. Fastwater already has apps for Apple TV, Google TV, Android TV, Fire TV, LG, and Samsung, and its files play on Roku through Plex or Jellyfin. Plans start at $6.99 a month for 200 GB. Standard is 1 TB for $9.99 a month. Every plan includes the TV apps, and every trial is free for 3 days.
How do I watch Fastwater on Roku today?
On Standard or Pro, mount your Fastwater files with rclone on the computer that runs Plex or Jellyfin, add the folder as a library, and play it from the Plex or Jellyfin app on the Roku.
Can I add downloads from the TV?
Not from the TV app. Add a magnet link or a .torrent file in the dashboard on a phone or computer, or from Putflix, ChatGPT, or Claude. It shows up on the TV when it's ready.
