Set it up

  1. On the Apple TV, open the App Store and search for Fastwater.
  2. Download it, then open it to see your sign-in code.
  3. Scan the QR code with your phone, or go to fastwater.app/link on a phone or computer and sign in.
  4. Check the code matches, name the TV, and approve. The TV signs in within a few seconds.

Good to know on Apple TV

  • The app plays MP4 and MOV files with H.264 or HEVC video and AAC, AC-3, or E-AC-3 audio. Fastwater repackages most downloads into MP4 when they arrive. A file it can't play says so, and still plays in the browser or in Infuse.
  • Apple TV HD can't decode HEVC. Fastwater makes an H.264 copy the first time you play an HEVC video on it, which takes a few minutes for an episode.
  • With Fastwater in the top row of the Home screen, the Top Shelf shows what you're watching.
