What the app does

  • Your movies and shows with posters, and every episode in order
  • Your files and folders, as in the dashboard
  • Picks up where you stopped on any other screen
  • Subtitles, and up next for the following episode
  • Search across your library
  • Videos at their original quality, not converted down

Set it up

  1. On the TV, open Apps and search for Fastwater.
  2. Install it, then open it to see your sign-in code.
  3. Scan the QR code with your phone, or go to fastwater.app/link on a phone or computer and sign in.
  4. Check the code matches, name the TV, and approve. The TV signs in within a few seconds.

Good to know on Samsung TV

  • Samsung's store doesn't offer apps to models older than 2022. On an older Samsung TV, play from the TV's browser, or use Plex.
  • 4K and HEVC files play as they are. Fastwater makes an H.264 copy of a video the TV can't play the first time you play it.

Or use an app you know

Fastwater files also play in these apps on Samsung TV.

Plex or Jellyfin

Mount your Fastwater files with rclone on the computer that runs your media server, and its TV app plays them. Standard and Pro.
